Do Lizzie and Ricky get back together?

Love might have been in the air last season on Virgin River for many couples, but as some relationships blossomed the relationship between Ricky and Lizzie, sadly, withered away leaving fans of the young couple to wonder if they would be able to find their way back to one another in Virgin River season 4.

In choosing to keep secrets from Lizzie by not telling her about his decision to enlist in the Marines, Ricky betrayed her trust leading to the end of their relationship as season 3 came to an end — and understandably so.

While it might not have been Ricky’s intention to hurt Lizzie, by keeping secrets from her he drove a wedge between them and we can’t argue with Lizzie’s decision to break things off. After all, once you betray someone’s trust it’s hard to regain that trust and just move on as if nothing happened.

Although Ricky and Lizzie’s future looked uncertain as season 3 came to an end, fans remained optimistic they might be able to work through things and get back together in season 4. So did the pair find their way back to one another in season 4?

Sadly, Ricky and Lizzie do not get back together following their breakup in season 3 and remain split up as Virgin River season 4 comes to an end.

Across season 4, Ricky attempts to win Lizzie back and prove how much he cares about her. While his efforts don’t lead to the pair deciding to give their relationship another shot, it does help them to work through things and rebuild their friendship as the pair end the season on really good terms as Ricky prepared to head out to training camp.

That’s the good news, the bad news is that it doesn’t look like the pair are going to end up back together anytime soon as Lizzie found herself beginning a new relationship with Doc’s grandson Denny as the season unfolded.

While Denny seemed to try to push Lizzie away in the finale with his jaw-dropping confession, there’s clearly something brewing between the two, and with Ricky heading off to training, it seems likely Lizzie will continue to explore her budding feelings for Denny in season 5.
